Happy St. Patricks day! The holiday is almost here and I wanted to share with you cute St Patricks day outfit and a skinny shamrock shake recipe. My recipe is so delicious and can easily be made vegan. I’m not going to waste any time here and dive right into how to make this delicious and healthy shake.
To make this shake you’ll need vanilla ice cream, milk, green food coloring, peppermint extract, whipped cream, lucky charm marshmallows and green sprinkles for festive toppings.
To make this shake vegan:
To make my shake vegan I used So Delicious Soy milk creamy vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend So Delicious products, it’s the best vegan ice cream on the market. 😀 For milk, I used Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk. (Can’t even taste the difference!)
My shake is unfortunately not vegan however, due to the whipped cream and marshmallows. If you’d like to keep your shake vegan though, you can buy dairy free whipped creme here. I couldn’t however find a vegan alternative to lucky charms marshmallows so I’m linking a recipe on how to make them on your own!
The process of making the shake is extremely easy. I’m not giving measurements for any of the ingredients because I simply eye balled the whole thing. In a blender I added about 4 scoops of ice cream, about half a cup of milk, a couple drops of peppermint extract and green food coloring.
As you blend it you can check the consistency and adjust as needed. Finally, you can do the fun part..decorate! I put a heaping amount of whipped cream on top and lucky charms marshmallows. To really drive the festive look home I also added green sprinkles and a gold straw. What do you think? 🙂
