Does anyone else love watching how people navigate through a typical morning routine because I know I do! YouTube is a great resource for this but some of us prefer pictures we can share on Pinterest.. hehe 😀 Currently as a fashion blogger and freelance cinematographer, I am my own boss. Through several months of running this blog and booking jobs with people I’ve developed a routine that works for me. In order to stay productive and get all my work done. Today I want to share with you my girl boss morning routine.
7:30 am Wake Up & Apply Skincare Products
The first step in the process of my morning routine is obviously to wake up.. 😀 Then I wash my face with this and apply jojoba oil to moisturize my face. It’s both the best and cheapest moisturizer I’ve ever used on my skin. If you’re looking for a new moisturizer I highly recommend it! 7:45- 9:00 am Eat Breakfast & Workout
At this point in the morning I’ll make some breakfast. My go to’s are gluten free instant oatmeal or peanut butter banana toast. I also like to start the day off with a big cup of water, for proper hydration. For my morning workout I typically go on a trail run or do an at home cross fit workout. For more workout and healthy food inspiration check out my Pinterest board here.
9:00 am Get Ready for the Day
A typical work day varies. If I need to film anything for a video, I’ll get that done at this time. If I just need to edit that day, I’ll take 20 minutes to put on makeup and braid my hair. I like to braid my hair because it’s quick and looks cute too! My favorite look is mascara and black winged eyeliner, with a dutch side braid. My favorite purse is my navy blue Dooney & Bourke cross body, so I always take that along. You can bet I’m wearing something comfy too! 🙂 For a cozy outfit idea, read my post here.
9:45 am Head to the Coffee Shop
At this point I have all my equipment packed up and I’m ready to head out! I like to get my work done either in my home office, or at a coffee shop. I find that sometimes it’s just more motivating to leave my house and get my work done in a public setting. Something about the coffee shop environment works perfectly with getting work done on a laptop! My favorite drink to sip on at the coffee shop is a sugar free vanilla soy latte.
10:00 am-4:00 pm Work on my Laptop
I could be at the coffee shop anywhere from ten to four a clock, it all depends on my workload. My typical process is to check my email, then tackle my to do list. Some of my to do’s might include editing a YouTube video, or editing a clients pictures I took from a shoot with them. After that my work day is concluded!
