New for 2018: Welcome to Gypsy In The City

New for 2018: Welcome to Gypsy In The City

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been plotting and planning the relaunch of an entirely new blog. Last year was such a great way to learn how this whole blogging thing works but I knew at some point I’d need to get more serious about what I want my brand to encapsulate. Through experimentation and research, I believe I’ve figured it out! It’s with the first of January, that I’m excited to reintroduce myself to the blogging world as Gypsy In The City. While this name may initially make no sense, allow myself to explain in new for 2018: Welcome to Gypsy in the City!

ย  So what’s this new name all about?

As someone tending to be all over the fashion map, I wanted to create a blog perfectly reflecting my style. And because I’m all over the map, I have yet to find someone reflecting this particular style! Curious what it is exactly? Allow me to elaborate! Overall, I gravitate towards boho fashion but I’m also not the type of girl you’d look at and call a hippie. Feminine pieces like velvet fabrics, embroidered details and blush tones make me feel beautiful. It’s with all these different influences, that I hope to bring a fashion blog to you, with this unique style in mind.

In the new year, it’s my hope and goal to inspire you through fashion but in other ways as well. In an effort to inspire creativity while also saving money, I will be bringing more handmade content to Gypsy in the City. It seems as a society, we buy store bought all too often. Let this year’s posts and content inspire you to relearn the art of handmade and take pride in what you can create with your hands!

What kind of content can I expect to see in 2018?

  • boho fashion
  • florals & plants
  • boho brunch ideas
  • homemade gift ideas
  • boho decor ideas & diys
  • more local content featuring Pittsburgh & Lancaster

Boho Fashion:

While my fashion has been a bit too all over the place for my taste, that’s all about to change! I’m getting a bit organized in 2018 and focusing particularly on boho fashion with my own feminine twist.

Florals & Plants:

I have become such an advocate for florals and plants! It’s for this reason, that I’m debuting this entirely new category to the blog. You can expect to see content geared towards diy flower crowns and how to make a mini indoor garden, to name a few of my ideas.

Boho Brunch Ideas:

Have you heard? Brunch is a big deal right now and I am all for it! I get such joy out of putting together pretty tablescapes and planning brunch menus. Ready to attempt hosting a brunch this year? Allow me to be your go to girl for all the brunch inspo you could possibly need. Oh, and with a boho twist, too!

Homemade Gift Ideas:

In spirit of the new theme, we’re going to be talking about homemade gift ideas over here on the blog. I think gift giving is such a fun thing to do. I mean, how good does it feel to give the perfect gift to a friend or loved one? This year I’m going to encourage you to try making some homemade gifts. The time and thought you’ll have put into that little gift will mean a lot to whomever is lucky to receive it!

Boho Decor Ideas & DIYS:

Are we sensing a theme here, yet? It only seems right to add another boho category, on “Gypsy in the City.” By popular demand, I’m going to share all the boho decor inspo you could possibly need! Let’s turn our homes into exactly what our Pinterest boards look like. ๐Ÿ™‚

More Local Content ft. PGH & Lancaster:

In the fall of last year I began creating local content regarding Pittsburgh and Lancaster. This type of content has been received well, so I’m bringing it back! If you love boho fashion and pretty plants, you’ll want to pay attention to this category. Spoiler alert, there will be posts about my favorite shops that encapsulate these things! Stay tuned, my friends! ๐Ÿ™‚
