If you haven’t yet noticed, blush tones are tacking over my blog. I mean, who couldn’t resist this gorgeous color? In the recently past year, Lauren Conrad’s style has particularly inspired me. She definitely has a thing for pink! With the inspiration I’ve garnered and a new sense of style, I’m heading to my clothing rack to make some changes! My clothing rack acts like a Pinterest board, as a means for inspiration. Naturally with the new year here, some changes are in order! Today, read about how I’m reworking my clothing rack with pretty blush tones. (Side note, is this not perfect in preparation for V-Day and spring??)

Reworking my Clothing Rack
With Pretty Blush Tones
A couple years back, I felt inspired to buy a clothing rack. Little did I know, it’d become an integral part of my routine. Not only does it act as a great room decoration but serves another important purpose! My clothing rack inspires my day to day outfit choices, acting as a real life Pinterest board! Let me teach you how to properly use this handy thing called a clothing rack.
1. Display your most favorite clothing items
The reason I turn to my clothing rack so frequently, is because I hang my most favorite clothing items there. To tap into a little inspiration, I work with these clothes first! Maybe I’ll form an outfit around my favorite pair of high waist jeans or that new coat I bought from Forever 21.
2. Hang statement items like a fur coat or ruffle blouse
Statement items look beautiful displayed on a rack, so don’t leave these out of the mix! Besides, basic tees and cardis just aren’t as fun to look at on your pretty little rack. Keep it inspiring and add your obnoxious large faux fur coat and that kick butt pair of ankle booties hiding in the closet.
3. Choose a color palette to emulate
If you really want to make that clothing rack inspirational, stick to a color palette. For me, I just can’t get enough of pretty blush tones. That’s why you’ll see in my photos that I went all out with the blush. Can you blame me? I mean, it just looks gorgeous in my book! And If you want to play with more than one color, try doing an ombre effect! I’ve tried this before with amazing results. Have fun with it!
4. Add a couple complimenting accessories
We can’t forget about the accessories, now can we? You can really have a lot of fun in this department! A couple ways to accessorize are with pretty shoes at the bottom of the rack, a hat or purse hung at the end or belts draped across the rod. Stick with your color palette here and pick accessories that’ll make your rack super fun to look at!
