Who else walks into stores fully knowing they can’t afford anything there, but do anyway? Because a girl can dream right? That’s why I need to share with you where I shop to score major deals on your favorite clothing brands.
I’m kind of that pathetic puppy walking around Free People obsessing over the front store displays. Picturing myself in that dress and knowing one day I’ll make enough money to buy it.
Thing is, this doesn’t have to be you! 😉
As much as walking through a Free People or Anthropologie can be very aesthetically pleasing, it’s not necessary. Quickly becoming one of my top places to shop, is a lovely dime called Nordstrom Rack. This store carries all of the hottest brands at 70% off. With deals like these, who needs to go directly to Free People.

I have a love affair with Free People, Anthropologie and Madewell. The thing is, I consider spending anymore than $40 on any article of clothing to be expensive. This puts me out of luck on my pursuit to rocking these awesome labels! Luckly, Nordstrom rack has my back, as these brands are regulars at my local store in Ross Park.
On my past visit I found this pair of shoes that are so uniquely lovely. They’re a twist between slides and lace up flats. To top it off, they’re in a gorgeous ballet pink shade. I believe these shoes are BCBG Generation and they have me just a little in love.. 😀 During this visit I also stumbled upon a denim short sleeve, Madewell shirt dress & Free People lingerie and shoes. A section dedicated specifically for Free People is a mainstay there and makes this girl’s inner hippie so ecstatic! 🙂
In this Sunday’s look I’m wearing a black bodysuit underneath an American Eagle maxi skirt. (That has the most darling boho print, if I may add) I found this deep v-cut bodysuit from T.J. Maxx for about $10. If you have any maxi skirts I highly recommend trying out this combo for summer! It really gives off a casual, I’m on vacation vibe. Perfect for a chill Friday date night. Or girls night!
Fun Fact: I like to dress like I’m on vacation to ignore the fact that I’m too broke to actually get out of PA. My life’s fun. 😀
With my bodysuit and maxi skirt, I wore the pair of lace up slides I was adoring a couple paragraphs above. Because this skirt has slits on both sides, I thought lace ups would be the perfect compliment to this look. Every time the breeze blows a little, you see the pretty lace up details on the shoes. Perfect. I switched out the typical purse for a cool faux leather backpack from Forever 21. If you’re like me and get bored with things easily, switch up your purse like I did in this look. I just think it gives the outfit the best cool girl vibes because the two don’t traditionally go together.
Side Note: I’m taking a moment to appreciate the fact that I actually did something different with my hair.. (I usually suck at hairstyles, or hair in general for that matter. 😀 )
