The past couple weeks I’ve been unraveling fun and exciting new content on the blog. Today’s post is no exception to that, as I’m trying something different out today! I thought it would be really fun to show off the Instagram boyfriend and photographer behind this blog, Stefan! He’s been my long term boyfriend and I think he has a cool style I’d like to show off today! Because hey, sometimes guys could use a little bit of fashion help too! 😀 So lets check out trendy and affordable his and hers date night outfit ideas.
Trendy and Affordable His and Hers Date Night Outfit Ideas
Stefan’s style is a lot like mine, in the way that he enjoys being comfortable. So for all you guys out there that think comfort is king, you’ll like this look. 😉 Short sleeve button downs are a staple in Stefan’s wardrobe. To feel comfortable in these types of tops, make sure to buy one that fits you well but not too tightly. Opt for a casual look and let it fit a little loosely. Stefan’s button down is by Banana Republic but thrifted from Buffalo Exchange. (We LOVE shopping here.) His shorts are from American Eagle and tennis shoes are Ralph Lauren. Go for shorts that are cut a little shorter, right above the knee. I’ve noticed they seem to be the most flattering/fashion forward look among other cuts. They look great on Stefan with his button down.
I like to keep things super casual and comfy. (What’s new? :D) When I was picking out my look for this post, I felt obligated to wear a dress or skirt but as I said, I’m more into the casual look. And so, in an effort to stay true to my true style, I wore a romper. Rompers are my absolute favorite and can be worn for just about any occasion. This deep v-cut one I’m wearing is from Brandy Melville and I wear it far too often. I have a true mild obsession with it.
In this look I paired it with a western choker from Pacsun and a long kimono from American Eagle. I love how the choker and kimono give this outfit a western feel, which is always something I aim for.The trick to dressing up this romper, lies with the shoes. While I tend to run away from heels, I can live with them on ankle booties. I love wearing ankle booties with this look because they give such a fresh twist to the average date night look. And of course to wrap up the whole free spirt feel I wore my naturally curly hair down and just went with it. 😉
