I’m back! The past 8 days I went on a vacation unlike any other. I visited the place I’ve been dreaming of for months on end, Charleston South Carolina! Before hauling all the way down there, Stefan and I stopped in Myrtle beach for two nights. While it’s not my favorite beach, we definitely got some really fun pictures on the beach and enjoyed swimming in it! Originally we planned on just heading straight down to Charleston but made the decision on a whim to make a stop before hand! I’m definitely feeling some post vacation blues, but the fun part is Stefan and I are planning something cool in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned to find out what it is! 🙂 There also will be some really cool changes and developments on the blog, unrolling in the near future. Stay tuned! 😀
Two Days in Myrtle Beach
While Stefan and I spent two days in Myrtle Beach, we created some hilarious memories that I can’t help but share! I’m prepared to receive judgment here, upon revealing this. But here goes nothing; we didn’t stay at a hotel during our time in Myrtle Beach. Lol I know right, did I really just say that? :O For the longest time I’ve wanted to get out of my town and explore more, but this can cost quite a bit of money. And the thing is, I haven’t always been disciplined enough to save the money travel requires. While we’re capable of saving money, neither Stefan or I work high paying jobs.. But the thing is, money just isn’t an acceptable enough excuse to give up adventure. So, because we’re young and we just don’t care, we slept in my car for two nights.
And let me just share with you the obvious truth, it sucked! lol South Carolina is so humid, which was really the biggest issue for me. Minus the fact we were essentially homeless for two days! Yikes. lol But with all of these things as they are, I would’ve done it again! I don’t want to waste my young years not being adventurous and experiencing life! Life doesn’t have to be pristine and perfect for it to be enjoyable, it doesn’t have to cost a lot either!
We bought groceries at Big Lots and ate peanut butter sandwiches for lunch while there. As I mature, I realize that material things are worthless. Traveling with the ones you care about in life is all you need, by itself. If you visit a beautiful place it can stand alone, without shopping and fancy meals. We intend to have many more trips in the near future and put experience over material. And with that, heres the photos from our two days in Myrtle Beach! 🙂
